How PayPal Fees Work on Deposits and Withdrawals

When you fund your marjosport wallet using PayPal and your PayPal balance is backed by a linked checking account or existing PayPal balance, PayPal does not add a fee on top of the transfer. The cost picture changes when your PayPal balance is funded by a debit card or credit card — PayPal applies its own card-funding rate to that transaction. On

the withdrawal side, moving funds from your marjosport account back to your PayPal balance carries no fee from us; however, if you then choose PayPal's Instant Transfer option to push those funds to your bank account or debit card, PayPal charges its standard Instant Transfer fee, capped at a published maximum per transaction. Standard bank transfers within PayPal remain free but take

one to three business days.

HOW WE HANDLE THIS

Why Our PayPal Fee Handling Is Straightforward

We Pass No Markup

marjosport does not add a processing markup to PayPal transactions. What PayPal publishes on its own fee schedule is what applies — we do not layer a second charge on top of it.

Fee Disclosure Before Confirmation

The deposit screen shows a fee line before you confirm. If PayPal's card-funding rate applies to your transaction, that figure appears in the confirmation modal so you can switch payment sources if you prefer.

PayPal's Published Rate Schedule

We link directly to PayPal's own fee page from the payment help section. You are reading PayPal's live document, not a summary we wrote, which means the number is always current.

SSL-Secured Payment Handoff

Every PayPal session initiated from our cashier passes through SSL encryption. No card or bank detail is stored on our servers — the data lives inside PayPal's own vault.

PayPal Fee Terms You Should Know

01
What is PayPal's Instant Transfer fee?

Instant Transfer is PayPal's option to push funds to a linked debit card or bank account within minutes. PayPal charges a percentage of the transfer amount, subject to a published per-transaction maximum.

02
What does 'card-funded transaction' mean in PayPal?

A card-funded transaction is when your PayPal payment draws from a linked credit or debit card rather than your PayPal balance or bank. PayPal applies its card-processing rate to these moves.

03
What is a currency conversion fee?

If a PayPal transaction involves exchanging one currency for another, PayPal adds a conversion spread above the base exchange rate. For US account holders transacting in USD, this fee does not apply.

04
What does 'goods and services' vs. 'friends and family' mean for fees?

PayPal charges a fee to the recipient on goods-and-services transfers. Friends-and-family transfers between US accounts are typically free when funded by a PayPal balance or bank account.

05
What is the PayPal chargeback fee?

If a buyer files a dispute and PayPal rules in their favor, the seller may incur a chargeback fee. This is a PayPal-side cost applied to the merchant account, not to your personal wallet balance.

06
What does ACH transfer mean in PayPal context?

ACH stands for Automated Clearing House — the US bank network PayPal uses for standard bank transfers. ACH moves are free within PayPal but typically take one to three business days to settle.

Common Questions About PayPal Fees at marjosport

We do not add any fee on our end for PayPal deposits. If your PayPal balance is backed by a bank account or existing PayPal funds, you should see no deduction beyond the amount you entered.

The most common reason is that PayPal drew from a linked credit or debit card rather than your balance. PayPal applies its card-funding rate automatically when your balance does not cover the full amount.

No fee from us. The funds move from your marjosport wallet to your PayPal balance at face value. Any cost after that depends on how you move money out of PayPal — standard bank transfer stays free.

Choose the standard bank transfer option inside PayPal after your funds arrive in your PayPal balance. It takes longer — usually one to three business days — but PayPal does not charge for that route.

Yes. The cashier screen displays a fee line in the confirmation modal before you tap confirm. If a card-funding rate applies, it appears there so you can switch to a bank-backed source if you prefer.

Venmo and Play+ have their own fee structures separate from PayPal's. Switching to one of those rails does not carry PayPal's card-funding or Instant Transfer rates — check each method's own terms in the cashier section.
